May 2009 Member of the Month

The Member of the Month for May 2009 is actually going to be a group of Members.  I believe everyone that reads this will agree that these guys are 100% deserving.  They were chosen because of their help and support at the 4 different deer shows that Whitetailworld attended this year.  Over a 7 week period we traveled to Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

Things first got started when Ryan Bieneck (shedfreak), owner of Black River Hardwoods, built the WTW booth.  This booth was awesome.  Many of you had a chance to see it first hand, but here are some pictures.  Ryan also attended the Illinois Expo and the Wisconsin Expo.  If anyone needs any wood work done be sure to let Ryan know!

On the drive down to our first show in Illinois I have to admit I was pretty nervous.  I did not know what to expect.  The help these guys provided was amazing.  Not only did they take the "stress" off of me they made it a lot of fun! 

Making all 4 shows were Jody Reinen (bullwinkle) and Jamie Boyer (checkmate).  These guys went above and beyond anything I could have hoped for from them.  Their knowledge and passion for whitetails was very evident.  It was great to have these guys at every show.  Shawn Ruzic (G5freak) was with us at our first show in Illinois and our last show in Wisconsin.  His "sales" abilities were an added bonus.  At the Iowa Show we had big help from Derek Brown (blindsniper) and Jimmy Davis (py_hunter).  Again, these guys provided a ton of much needed help and of course fun!  After a 6 hour drive (on no sleep) and 3 long days of shows it's great to count on all these guys!  The last guy to be sure to thank is Steve Olson (b-roll).  Steve attended the Wisconsin show.  Many of you have met or talked to Steve regarding video stuff.  Steve has spent many hours with me in a tree behind the camera.  The camcorder was rolling in Wisconsin and there should be a little video to show you some of the highlights from the different shows. 

All in all the 2009 show season was a success.  We were out there spreading the word about this great place we call Whitetailworld.  The WTW Crew worked hard at these shows, but we sure did have a great time and walked away with a ton of great memories.  Thanks again to Ryan, Jody, Jamie, Shawn, Derek, Jimmy, and Steve for all their help.  Along with these guys I have to throw a special thanks to a few more people:  My dad John and uncle Billy, Corey Reinen, Jake Davis, Matt Wetzel, and of course my family, especially my wife Gina.
